The primary responsibility of the Board is to oversee continuity, encourage
participation, and ensure harmony and enjoyment of the contributing membership.
Further, each Board Member is responsible for preserving the integrity and spirit
of the Omniverse project as intended by the founding members. In fulfilling this
duty, Board Members will be called upon to decide on the acceptance of material
which may be seen as inappropriate, questionable or not fitting with the intended
spirit of the project.
The Board consists of six members including the Continuity Editor, each having
contributed previously to the Omniverse project.
Board Members serve terms of two years (or six Omniverse issues).
Elections for Board Members are held in the October issue of the Clobberin'
Times preceding the end of the Board's term.
All active members of the Clobberin' Times that have submitted to the Omniverse
project are allowed to vote for Board Members. In the event that a Board Member
resigns from the position or leaves the Times, a special election will be held in
the subsequent issue of the Times. All rules regarding active membership in the
Times as outlined in the Constitution apply to the Omniverse.
The Board and Continuity Editor will only impede a submission in the event of
continuity problems, violation of the spirit of the project or issues with lasting
ramifications for other contributers or the Omniverse as a whole.
In the event that a vote is necessary to resolve issues regarding submissions
or policy, each Board Member will have one vote. In the event of a tie, the Continuity
Editor will have two votes and cast the final decision.
Terms and Responsibilities of the Continuity Editor
The term and election policies for Continuity Editor are the same as listed
above for Board Members.
It is the primary responsibility of the Continuity Editor to review synopses of all
Omniverse contributions ahead of time and make final approval of said submissions.
Criteria for decisions include (but are not limited to) the following: ensuring
that character/city/NPC/villain crossovers have the approval of ALL creaters involved;
scrutiny of events detailed in a submission that have potentially far-reaching or global
consequences affecting other participants; preserving the intended spirit and "feel"
of the Omniverse.
